Go and multiply...

This is one of those things that you only learn from very light reading in airplanes, live your whole life without knowing and still be happy.

Apparently the Russians are so worried about their low birth rates that they now have a National Conception Day on the 12th September. So, if you're in Russia you can skip work and do your share in contributing for the national population increase.

At least the Russians are taking (desperate) measures. And us?

Now Miss what weird ideas did you get on that flight?
Oh, sorry, I taught one was speaking only of sex, but no ... we are talking about birth, going and multiplying ... oh, even so ... I'm sorry, twins at home and a jeaulous wife ... no, I guess she wouldn´t let me go and multiply anywhere ...
[sorry for this simply idiot and jackass comment, but I'm in a good mood]

Good for u! And man, who said I got any ideas? That's too much altitude for my thoughts;)

(But even so, I read some very bizarre statistics about the places in which people like to multiply: planes being a very popular spot! I think it was in Visão or Sábado or some of the trash we take inflight)

I hate to agree with you but... good point man!!!! Low productivity?! What a cracker;)

(Yep, I also wonder how 2 fit the WC cabin in a plane, but you know how wild imagination can be...)

Dear Antonio de Almeida,
Join the club in all aspects! No reading, no sleeping, no eating, no nothing in planes, a lot of boredom. And no multiplying, in the biblical sense, that is;)

Dear Blue,
How I missed your so peculiar good sense of humour! Glad to be back girl;)
Well, I don't pity those Russian fellows.
Don't make Quinn stray from his good ways, you naughty, naughty girl;) (read with immense irony)

(You know, when I get to get lost in my favourite bookshops and buy two baskets full of books, yes I call that inspiring - hubby dear calls it a pain to get all the loooong way to the airport:))

Us? we don't like planning eh eh

Blue, if I was allowed to go to Russia you shouldn't put your money on me ... I couldn´t afford to pay all the alimony ... and, between us, I'd rather go around watching Saint Petersburg or Moscow!
You are a naughty one ...

Tenho feito a minha parte e pretendo a torto e a direito continuar a fazer a minha parte.

Espectacular!:)

Dear Nuno,
And that's also what makes life fun, right?

Blondewithaphd disse...

Dear Tiago,
Skipping work, hein? I see your point!!!

Blondewithaphd disse...

Dear Quinn,
I've been told St. Petersburg is lovelier than Moscow... hehehe!!

Blondewithaphd disse...

Josh dear,
You beat me in that department (the multiplying thing, that is), but I agree with you that this is serious business in our Old World. Funny enough I once went to a wedding ceremony in which the priest actually told the blissful couple that they should multiply before our country was taken over by the Moroccans!!! This was about 10 years ago, I'm wondering what he would have said now...

Blondewithaphd disse...

Dear Jedi,
Yep, Josh does have a gift!
